We finally had a bit of time in the garden over the past few days. The weather is warming and it is time to set up for the warmer weather. The front garden has been cut back and weeded with a little cleaning up still to go.
And the backyard has been broken up (after about 30 years) in an attempt to produce some grass cover this spring!

Parkinsons Unity Walk
Sunday 29th August broke cloudy but without rain, the perfect day for the Parkinsons Unity Walk. We went by train to the city and met up with others taking part in the walk. We were in there to support Peter who had been heavily involved in the organisation of the day. He had to make a speech and this is how he showed up on the big screen.
It was a very successful day, well organised and with more participants than last year. The hope is that the event will grow to be a major event and so provide significant funding for Parkinsons research.

The Birthday Dinner
We had the traditional birthday dinner on Sunday night for Adam. The menu (would you believe it?) was Lamb Roast and Apple Rolly Polly with assorted Rock Buns, Yo-Yos and Banana Cake birthday cake.
Evidence of the occasion presented here.

The Evolution of a Kitchen
This is the original with all its interesting colours and special features
The first job was to remove the original kitchen and floor coverings
Once the floor coverings were removed, new floorboards were laid and polished.
Then the kitchen was built in.
And then there was all the painting and installation of the benchtops etc.
There is still work to do on the lights, splashbacks etc but we currently have a happy camper (or 2) back in their kitchen.
