Order Restored

The universe is once again back in harmony as Holly's new photo has been installed in Granny's Gallery.  Peace, order and tranquility reign.

Holly's Fifth.

Cathy sent us the new photo in honour of Holly's fifth birthday.  It is a ripper and headed for the Gallery. Our girl is growing up fast!

Granny Conducts Master Class

It is a miserable Friday.  Suddenly cold and wet (in preparation for the Grand Final tomorrow).  Our visitors decided that they would call on Granny's expertise in the finer points of Play Doh sculpture.

Rosie Keeps an Eye Out

While her normal charges were out of Melbourne, Rosie came over to supervise us for a few days.  It is exhausting work.

That's Life

If Forrest Gump was right and "life is like a box of choc-lits" then this is what it looks like!
Wow that's big - thanks Elina!

Evening Out

Adam and Kate were out for the evening (Elina's birthday) so we had the opportunity to spend a little time with James, Pat and Sophie.

Friday Fun

Sophie, Cooper and Lachlan took some time from their busy schedule to come over and play with Granny.  They did not seem to have trouble finding things to do.  The old Tree House had a bit of an outing,
as did the 40 year old "Build-a Brix".
But Play-Do is always a winner -
and boys love aeroplanes.

School Production

We went along to see the School Production last night - and it was fantastic.  James, Patrick and Jack all had parts to play.  The Circus themed production was set to recent music so the audience and the students were involved from the start.
When all the students in Years Prep to 4 were on stage there was quite a crowd.

What Is It?

This little item appeared on an external window.  It is about 1 cm long and very flat. What is it?  My best guess is an egg case but of what?  Chocolate frog to the first correct answer.

Jack Performs On Stage

Jack was very excited as he pulled on his Monkey Suit ready for his part in the school production this evening. The production goes over two nights so there will soon be a number of tired Preppys around.

Change in the Air

Mornings are warmer, but there is still plenty of moisture in the air.

Another Year Added

We had a gathering to celebrate the addition of another growth ring.  I received some gear to ensure the success of the next camping trip including a pot stand for the fire and a percolator for the coffee (which we forgot on the last trip!).
I was also introduced to some of the (not so subtle) humour that can occasionally be found on birthday cards. Some nice bottles came across from the UK for the occasion.  Yum!
Then multiple Chefs produced a feast to follow.  A great night and thanks to all the contributors,

Grand Final Glory!

Saturday was the day for the Main Event. Pat's Vikings had made their way into the grand final and they were ready for action.  Two of the team had flown down from Queensland for the event and the team was pumped.  Marcellin had beaten them on their last encounter but the boys were not going to let that happen again.
The Vikings were ahead for most of the match but Marcellin drew level with 3 minutes to go.  Our boys then put on a spurt and finished 6 ahead for a win.
Getting a medal is the best way to end the season.

Back to Winter

Despite the promises, the rain is continuing with a wet weekend promised.  The Reserve at the back of the house is saturated with water lying along and over the path.

Spring Approaches

The weather seems to be warming up and there is evidence of spring in the garden -
but it also extends inside the house.  The time has come for a substantial edit of all the toys, dolls clothes etc sitting in the back of cupboards.

Cool or What??

I have just been playing with an App in the iPhone from NASA.  It is called Spacecraft 3D and with it you can view a range of spacecraft in 3D, you can move around them and even photograph them in different locations around the home.  Great fun for little boys of all ages!

Some Medical Advice

The past few days are not ones I would wish to live through again.  However as a result of these experiences I feel I am now in a position to offer a soundly based piece of medical advice
DO NOT
(UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES)
GET SHINGLES!!!
It decided to attack my head and eye and is one of the most unpleasant bugs I have had to deal with.
Thankfully things are improving today.

Fathers' Day

We took up a station in Jells Park for Fathers' Day.  The day was cool and clear so apart from some very wet patches in the grass it was ideal for a picnic.
With all the contributions it was clear that no one was going to go away hungry.  There was plenty of football, bike and scooter riding to wear off the excess calories.
As part of the festivities I was presented with a very interesting bottle to add to the collection.
Sampling was undertaken and those present gave approval for additional sampling following the next dinner.  As can be seen it fits well with other cabinet components.

Basketball Finals

Pat played his first final yesterday at Marcellin College.
The boys were ahead for a lot of the game keeping the fans on their toes.
In the end Marcellin won what proved to be a fairly physical encounter.
