And So This Is Christmas .....

This year, we started our Christmas with Adam and Kate.
There were some important deals to transact before breakfast.
Then it was down to the Breakfast of Champions, croissants.
We had a magnificent lunch at home with seafood starters and turkey -
before heading to Brett and Cathy's place for a few additional transactions before dinner.
We completed the evening with a game of Klopp.  It turns out that this is not one of my strengths. The race to the line was hard fought between Holly and Adam.

Another Early Christmas

As Lisa and the boys are heading to Canberra for Christmas we had an early Christmas Dinner for them last night.
They have a long trip ahead - perhaps some of the new stuff can help fill in the time.

Early Christmas

Lisa and the boys will be traveling at Christmas so the exchange of presents occurred a little early,  We did not notice too many complaints.

Lisa's 40! Can't Believe It.

Lisa had a day of celebration yesterday to follow up on previous days of celebration to mark her transition into the 40s. The morning started with presents from the boys and then "Champagne in the Park" with the Mother's Group and finally dinner with the family.
The current obsession is the garden (Lisa .. Garden .. Lisa? - we are still processing that!) so the combined presentation involved a lot of garden stuff.
And in usual style, no one went home hungry.

Basketball - Cooper

Cooper had his final game of the year tonight. They went down but there will be plenty of time to practice over the holidays.

Adam and Kate's New Van

Adam and Kate had an early Christmas present with the arrival of their new van. Like all new owners, Adam had the terrifying experience of driving it home but it appears to be unharmed by the experience even if the same cannot be said for Adam.
The van appears to be very comfortable with plenty of cross flow ventilation, good kitchen/eating area, comfortable bedding, large bathroom and heating and cooling.
Now for the fitting out and a shakedown trip.

Basketball - Pat

Patrick has changed teams and is now playing in a team with boys his own age. It shows. He is quite a powerhouse in the team and we watched an exciting game today where they played (and just beat) a team with similar skills.
He ran himself ragged and will sleep well tonight!

Basketball - James

We watched James with his Friday night team of mates in the U16 competition.  They have no coach but the team plays as a single unit.  The game was fun to watch as they were up against strong competition.  They won by a nose.  Photos are a bit fuzzy as the stadium was like the back of a cave and the lighting was minimal.

Christmas Concert

We attended the Christmas Concert last night to see five family members perform on stage.
Lachlan was particularly excited to be performing with his Grade but he had also been practicing with a special choir to perform separately. Cooper had to make his voice heard from the rear.
Then it was Lachlan and his choir.
Next up we had Sophie and Jack.
And finally Patrick and his mates took to the stage to finish a good evening just in time for Santa to arrive.

Patrick Graduates

At Antonio Park PS a huge amount of work goes into the Graduation Ceremony and this year I was pleased to be able to photograph the event.
I was particularly pleased to see it as it is Patrick's final year at the school and he is School Captain.
The theme was Willy Wonka and all students were presented and made their entry through the Golden Gates.
At the end of the formal proceedings the School Captains made their speeches and then there was dinner and a disco.
