Captain Jack

It was a big day on the field for Jack today.  Richmond had won last night (3 in a row) and today he lead the Jets onto the field as Captain.
He had an OK day with a number of kicks and tackles.
He was rewarded for his efforts with an Award and a soaking by his team mates as they sang the Club Song.

Basketball - Sophie's PB

Sophie certainly had her ":determined" face on this morning as her Vikings met the Mustangs.
She had decided that today she wanted to score a Personal Best and her previous best was 5.
She had scored 2 goals up until late in the match when she got her third goal to give her 6 points for the match.  Job Done! Congratulations Sophie.

Basketball Jack

We were able to see Jack and his team play this morning as they had a battle with the Vikings.
The Gallery was in fine voice when Jack had the ball.
The boys had plenty to do as the Vikings had come to play.

Jack's Birthday Shop

We collected Jack after school for his birdhday shop and it turned out that his first preference after school was to attack some food. He introduced me to the delights of KFC Wicked Wings.  They actually turned out to be Wicked Thighs but that did not have the same ring to it (nor did it have a G Classification)
The birthday shop turned out to be simple really.  The objects of his desire were a football from K Mart and a box of Football Cards.  Who would have guessed?

Lachlan's Birthday Shop

We had not been shopping for Lachlan's birthday presents so the situation had to be remedied after school.  All boys are hungry after school so that issue had to be addressed first. KFC provided an answer.
Then we hit the shops for a Lego binge
Then back to show Granny the results of the expedition.

Football - James

Since changing divisions, the Jets are putting on some dominant performances, this week thumping Lilydale.

Party Perils

Jack attended a friend's birthday party today and returned injured.  It might be safer to play sport.

Basketball - James

James and the Celtics had a convincing win today completely outclassing the opposition winning 68 to 24.
James had another great game with some fantastic innovative goals but the star attraction is the teamwork of these boys who seem to be able to anticipate each other's moves throughout the game.

Basketball

James, Pat and Sophie all had wins today.  If this photo is to be taken as evidence, watching games makes you shrink and playing makes you grow.  Granny appears to be shrinking.

Soccer - Mitchell

Mitchell played soccer while he was living in the UK and has played it back here in Aus. but today was our first chance to see him in action.
It was perfect weather and the boys put on a good show.  Mitchell had primed us saying the team was not particularly competitive, but they appeared reasonably matched to us.
Mitchell worked hard for the team, it was fun to watch.

Lachlan and Patrick - Aussies of the Week

We attended School Assembly today to see Lachlan receive his Award.  It is quite a show with all the students teachers and parents in the hall.
Of course it was a double celebration for us as Lachlan was presented with his Award by the School Captain - Patrick!
It actually turned into a triple celebration as Patrick found out during the presentation that he had to also present himself with an Award.
Congratulations to both our Stars!

Football - James

The weather held off for much of James' match on Sunday.  The Team had been moved to B Division where they were expected to be more competitive but they overshot the mark.  The boys whacked Glen Waverley Rovers convincingly.

Football - Jack

Playin' in the rain,
Just playin' in the rain,
It's a wonderful feelin'
It's football again

Rain did not matter.  Jack enjoyed the game and played with his mate Clay.

Jack's Birthday - Family

Following an afternoon of Bubble Soccer Jack had his family celebration in the evening.  The hit of the evening was the game of Klop.  As it turned out the winner was Jack's friend Clay who retains "Current Champion" status.
We had a relaxed evening as Adam was able to contain his aggression to minor outbursts.  We are not sure how it would have turned out if he had the full Iron Man suit.
Jack had the full day celebrating his assention into the realm of double figures.  Happy Birthday Jack.
