Basketball - Cooper

We had our first chance to see Cooper with his new Basketball Team tonight.  They gave the opposition a bit of a thumping but there is still plenty of work to do.
Cooper is not the tallest in his team but he can certainly make up for it with his jumps.
Mum is happy with his progress.

Spring has Sprung

Some water, some warmth and a little attention can do amazing things to a garden. The General Manager of Horticultural Affairs has been giving the place a bit of attention lately and it is paying off with luxuriant growth and colour.
The vege patch is starting to produce and areas that have been a bit of a wasteland in the past are starting to do well.

Room Revised

With paintings now in place Lisa has her room almost as she wants it.

Crossing the Rubicon

This time, the weekend camp was on the banks of the Rubicon River, a beautiful part of Victoria.
Whenever you go camping it is important to remember to bring your own Masterchef. Ours was immediately on the job.
with immediate mouthwatering results.
The timber collection had gone well so the fire kept us warm until late.
The sky at night is very different to that in the city
and the bush tracks provide access to some magnificent locations.

Cathy's Birthday

We had the belated celebration of Cathy's birthday last night. It is becoming evident that she and Brett will soon be the smaller members of the family!
The presents took on a subtle theme that only the most discerning would detect.
The full table was comprehensively cleaned up by the growing family.

Sophie's 9th

We had a little time yesterday to try for Sophie's 9th birthday photo.  Contrary to usual procedure we ended up with two we liked and now have to decide which goes into the frame in the gallery.

Basketball - Sophie

Sophie had a tough run yesterday against strong opposition.
Some of her team and the Coach were away so there were no subs.  The girls ran all match.
Adam was Coach for the day.
The bad news was that they lost the match, the good news was that Sophie scored their only points,

Basketball - James

Having moved up a couple of divisions and being in with the U16s means that James and his team are having to work hard for a win.  Although they did not win yesterday, they came back hard after their opposition piled on the early points.

Building the Wall

Claire's endeavours in the front garden are paying off.  We will be offering advice to Donald Trump. No one will be getting through that wall of roses.

Is It Finally Spring?

The garden is ramping up its production with the warmer (?) days and the rain.  You should see the thorns on these roses!

Lisa's Birthday Bash at Bellarine

Lisa had a (preemptive) 40th birthday celebration over the weekend at Bellarine Holiday Park.  It was a very family friendly park with plenty for all the children to do and room for the adults to have their celebration.
The promised savage weather did not eventuate and there was plenty to eat and drink.
So all the customers were happy!

Lake Eyre Video

I decided to make a video compilation of some of the photos from our recent Lake Eyre trip.

Birthday Purchases

Pat and Sophie had a little extra cash after their birthdays so a visit to the shops was in order.  Sophie took Granny to Smiggle to round out her collections,
and Pat decided to get the guitar he had been eyeing off in the shop.
