Netball - Holly

On another beautiful morning we watched Holly do her thing on the Netball court.  The girls have improved a lot since we last saw them, there is now more purpose and direction in their play.
Their strategy is working as they came away with a very clear win today.  Holly worked hard and was in need of re-hydration.

Older Boys - Bigger Toys

Now that Adam is a little older, when he plays "marbles" in his back yard, he takes it to a whole new dimension.

James Joins Mitcham

The football season has started so we took the opportunity to see James playing with his new club, the Mitcham Tigers.  All of a sudden the boys have become men and the game is played with greater intensity.  Half close your eyes and you could be watching "The Vikings" (Pic 2).

Sophie on the Football Field

On a perfect morning for football we watched Sophie iin her second match.  She is totally unfazed by the fact that her opponents seem to  be a head higher and she was a little terrier in the packs.

Lachlan is Eight

Sometime after his party we finally got Lachlan's birthday photo for the Gallery.

Cooper is Ten

His birthday was a while ago but the photo for the gallery has taken a while.

James at Sixteen

It's birthday season and time for Granny's Gallery to be updated.  This is the current candidate for James.

Lachlan's Birthday Shop

It was time for Lachlan to select his birthday presents so it was an after school excursion.
Some tough decisions had to be made but Lachy was up to the task.
Of course the sustained effort of present selection required an injection of KFC to sustain body and soul.
Then the booty had to be taken home for display and full use.

Lachlan's Birthday Dinner

Lachlan had his birthday dinner following his Dark Zone experience.  Being a Birthday Dinner, all the major food groups were represented.  Frankfurt sausages and ice-cream.
Then a bit of bouncing was needed to create room for the cake.

Lachlan's Eighth at Dark Zone

Dark Zone was Lachlan's chosen venue for his eighth birthday.  As eight is the lowest age limit it was all very exciting for Lachlan and his mates.
The boys assembled and  started on the games room
Then they were inducted into the ways of the Dark Zone -
and kitted out with their Laser Guns
Then it was off to war!
Energy replenishment took the form of pizza and birthday cake.

Cooper Goes Shopping

We took Cooper shopping for his tenth birthday and it turns out he is a bit of a "cave man" shopper.  On the way to the shops he had an idea of what he wanted and it only took him about 10 minutes to get the items he wanted.
This year, Nerf guns still featured but a racing drone was added to the mix.
An important feature of the shopping experience is the KFC at the end to reward efficient performance.

Cooper's Tenth Birthday

Cooper invited his friends to Time Zone for his tenth birthday celebrations.  Having free reign on all the machines and playing for prizes made for a fairly frantic couple of hours.
After a little instruction - the shooting began.
along with all the other competitions.
Food and Birthday Cake brought the energy levels back up after a harrowing couple of hours.
 Then there were presents -
and collecting your winnings from the games.  Cooper had a good day.

Fun With Felix

While Patrick is charging around Tasmania with the family, Felix was left to look after us for the few days.  He clearly wants his own pair of glasses.

Mitchell and Ebony's Birthday Portraits

We have finally taken Mitchell and Ebony's birthday photos for Granny"s Gallery. Now to install them.

The Footy Fan

Jack enjoys his football.  It is even sweeter when you go with your mate Clay (Carlton fan) and they get cleaned up by Richmond.

Lachlan and Cooper's Birthdays

Cooper and Lachlan's birthdays usually coincide with the school holidays when friends and family take a break.  So we took the opportunity to celebrate their birthdays while all the family was still in Melbourne.
The boys have organised special celebration events with their friends during the holidays.

The Great Easter Egg Hunt (2018)

The family assembled to celebrate the productivity of the Easter Bunny with an Egg Hunt.  Viewed from above it was great to see the look of eager anticipation on all of their faces.
The hunt commenced and a variety of styles was immediately apparent. Those that leapt into the fray were rewarded with immediate results.
Others took a more "lay back - hands in pockets - view from afar" approach and ended up hungry!
