Cooper - Basketball Winners

Cooper has taken  up basketball again after a break and we saw the team in action today.  It was an early start but the boys were in good form taking out a comfortable win and Cooper threw a goal to add to the team total.
Cooper is a handy defender obstructing the opposition and his high jumping and intercepts lead to a number of team goals.

Antonio Cross Country

It is great to have grandchildren that can do things you could not do.  At the cross country today, they all finished the course showing great determination.  Very proud of them all!!

Jack Gets his Birthday Lunch

As a grand finale to his birthday, Jack finally got his birthday lunch from Granny and Pa. His busy social calendar had made it difficult to find an appropriate time.  First it was a Fish and Chippery that filled us all to the brim, then there was ice-cream to settle the stomach.
Jack put in a valiant effort but did not quite manage the lot!

The Donvale Kitchen Starts

We are all excited for Adam and Kate as their new kitchen starts to take shape.  The old woodwork is out and the new cupboards are shaping up.
The new panorama window will look magnificent with views across the valley.

Jack - Basketball

Jack is now in his third season with many of the players in his basketball team.  They are a tight little unit and play well together and the game today was an exciting one.
The boys had a slow start then they came good but not quite enough to overcome the opposition.  They played well and should be proud of their work against a good opposition.

Twenty Years On

It was the twentieth anniversary of the completion of our Grand European Tour (almost to the day).  We have been catching up on a regular basis ever since so to mark the occasion it was decided that we would have lunch in The Conservatory at Crown overlooking the Yarra.
Jenny and David N travelled from Renmark in South Australia and David F came down from Canberra for the occasion. We decided we have all changed very little in the last 20 years (and we are not looking for second opinions!)

Jack is Twelve

Following a weekend of celebration (including a party with friends and a win at Basketball) the family gathered to see Jack move into his thirteenth year.  The meal may not have been formally classified as "Gourmet" however there can be nothing better than a home made curry, pizza and some sensational red wine that Lisa has had in storage for years.
After a big weekend, Jack still had sufficient puff to extinguish the inferno.

Tigers Injured

The Mitcham Tigers are having a tough time. From winning no games in D Grade they have been pushed into B Grade and surprisingly have been a little outclassed.  James did his best but we need a whole team of Jamses to make an impression.
