Grand Final Visitors

Richmond was in the Grand Final.  Noel has been a Richmond tragic all his life as has Jenni.  Jenni managed to get hold of some tickets and brought Noel down for the show.
We primed them with a late breakfast and put them on the train.  Turns out it was the right formula as Richmond destroyed GWS so we had some very happy visitors for the evening meal.
It was certainly the way to see your first Grand Final!

Fold Down Bed Installed

We are gradually taking over and living in the house. Now all the blinds have been installed.
One of the last pieces to go in has been the wall bed in the study.
The mattress is a tight fit and folds up in the bed.  So now we are ready for visitors!

Dogz Rule

Adam, Kate and family are getting their fill of sushi in Japan.
However the dogs seem to be enjoying themselves at home.  We get a fine old welcome on arrival but that is only to make sure the food comes out.  Our attraction seems to decline significantly after a bowl full of food.

The Mischief Makers

While Adam and Kate and family are away in Japan, the dogs are taking the opportunity for some free play.  Pulling the bed to bits was an option that presented itself - at least it seemed like a good idea at the time!

Moving Day

Saturday was the day when the majority of our heavy stuff was to be moved from Unit 2 into the new house.  It was a bit frustrating having just had glaucoma surgery to not be able to assist but the family came to the fore and all the major stuff was moved.  The most difficult job was to move our heavy wooden table but with everyone chipping in it made it across the gap.  And the rain held off until the job was finished.
It was absolutely fantastic to have all the help on the day and to have the work done so quickly as a result.  Mark was visiting with Lisa and John today and he could not help himself.  While visiting he rectified the previously dodgy dishwasher installation.

Another Notched Up

It was wonderful to see the family for my birthday yesterday and actually have the celebration on the day.  Kate and Adam hosted providing mains and the rest of the family contributing sweets and afters.  The red acquired on the night will require a concerted family effort to consume!

Cooper's Grand Final

Cooper and his team made it to the Grand Final but they met their match today and were beaten by a better team.  They had a good run and I am sure the McDonalds Lunch made up for any disappointment.
The Fan Club members were in attendance

New Drive

The driveway to Unit 2 was a slalom course required by Council to protect trees that no longer exist so we were plased to see it go and a new one installed.  It required a bit over 3 truckloads to remove the old concrete.

APPS School Production

We have been watching the Antonio Park School Production evolve over the past 12 years and last night was another great performance.  They have all been great performances but the management of the event has been smoothed over the years.  James amused us greatly with his observation that the auditorium now seemed to be much smaller than in his day.
We were very proud to see our grandchildren performing so well on stage.  In this production Sophie had taken a major role as hired assistant to the Villain in Chief.  She delivered her comedy lines to perfection.
As well as being one of the Stars of the show she also performed with her class
It's probably fair to say Cooper's abilities were not stretched too far by the routine he had to perform but he did well leading from the front.
Lachlan was right in front and near us so we could see his every move.

Cooper Moves Into the Grand Final

Cooper and his team won their semi final in a nail biter today.  They had a slow start and only came home closer to the end of the game with scores within a point for a long period.Cooper was on fire with a couple of goals and a three pointer.  With such a tight finish it was an exciting game to watch.
The support team also had a good day although they nearly froze!

Fathers' Day

Lisa and Mark hosted a Fathers' Day barbeque for all the fathers in the family. A very relaxed evening.
Torvo was nominated as honorary Father of the Day.
Lachy showed off his most recent Art work. He is developing some solid skills.
