Maskerades

We are now making serious attempts to update our wardrobes with the latest accessories.  Adam obtained his from the Mitcham Tigers and we got ours from the Wantirna Lions Club.

Pounding the Pavement

With lockdown firmly in place, we can only walk past and gaze longingly at the places where we would most like to be.  Currently the playground is out of reach.
The street trees say it has been wetter than usual.

Protecting the Innocent

We decided it was time to try something in the garden.  Claire has always wanted to grow snow peas so a punnet went in beside the drive.  Brett had a few strawberry plants over so we are trying those as well.  As the possum population is rampant in the area, some protection was needed so we had to make some cages.  It is all very experimental.  We will see how things work out.  So far, no losses.

Mask Man Mitchell

Mitchell made the papers! The school has been using its equipment to produce protective masks for paramedics and Mitchell was chosen as the exemplar scholar to display the result.

Managing the Mask

How sad!  We are now in a situation that requires us all to take protection measures unthinkable a year ago.  With the spread of the virus and the need to do the shopping, the mask is now a necessity.

Moorabbin Moves

Mark is continuing to work on the factory at Moorabbin to re purpose it for Adam's requirements.  Much of the upper floor is now completed.  I spent a day as general dogsbody cleaning up in preparation for laying the floor.

Bendigo Bound

Good friends of ours (Rob and Tara) sold up their home in Warrandyte (on the side of a hill) and moved to the flat open spaces of Bendigo.  They have finally settled in so we took the opportunity to visit yesterday.  They are very happy with their new location with it's flat garden spaces, lower maintenance requirements and accessible services.

Civilization 2020

The great Civilization Challenge took place on Sunday and on this occasion Jack threw his hat into the arena for his place in history.  As usual the game progressed at an initially gentle pace until the calamities befell the various empires.  There was carnage aplenty as great empires grew and developed only to be reduced to ruin by random events or aggressive neighbours. (No names in particular but James and Mitchell spring to mind!).

A New Challenge

As things change in the photography arena I am looking at changing how I take and manage my photos so I can move to a more portable workflow.  The arrival of the iPad Pro has resulted in new capabilities and considerable experimentation.  On this occasion I have been playing with the processing options.
