Jack's 50 Games

Although he has played a few more now, Jack was finally able to celebrate his 50 Game Milestone at football today.

The banner was up and Jack and Isaac ran onto the ground between their teammates and through the banner.
The rest of the match did not go so well for the Rams as they were playing the top team but they did put on a good show and held the Knights better than they had expected to.

Better Late Than Never

James birthday is now in the distant past but it has taken us all this time to get in his birthday lunch.  We tried the "Dark Horse" at Mitcham for brunch.  It was a good thing we booked as everyone else seemed to have the same idea.  Review summary?  Good food and plenty of it!

Cooper Plays The Classics

Cooper has been working on his trombone skills recently and today he was able to play us the introduction to the Star Wars theme.  He has come a long way in a short time on an instrument that takes some skill to master.

Football - A Tentative Return

It has been a long time since we have been able to watch weekend football at the ground but today we watched James and the Mitcham Tigers play Lilydale in a real nail biter.  It was a typical cold day on a wet ground, thankfully without rain for the match.

Mitcham failed to fire in the first half, but they gradually found their form for a dominant third quarter including a goal from James.
James always likes the opposition to know he is around.
Lilydale got ahead in the last quarter but Mitcham rallied to get home by 4 points.  The spectators had to go home for a little rest.

Community Centre Develops

The local Community Centre has had some art work done on the concrete retaining walls that adds a real touch of interest.  It is sad to almost expect some clown to come along and deface it with graffiti.

Extending the Repertoire

Hours of research have gone into the decision but yesterday, Claire made it happen.  A new air fryer was added to the appliance inventory.  The trick will now be to make it do all the things it is supposed to do.

Adding Hours

Patrick is on his Learners Licence at present and is looking to get his hours up on the road.  Having finished school for the term we had the opportunity of a country drive.

We headed off for lunch at Yea and managed to get lost on a straight road (no mean feat!) but eventually got our lunch.  We wound our way back via the Murchison Gap Lookout for a very easy drive through some interesting country I had not seen before.

Like the Olden Days

The highly unusual weather we have had recently (very damp and cold) has resulted in morning fog reminiscent of the weather I remember as a child.  No doubt it adds a little excitement to the morning commute.

The New Premises

Adam finally has possession of his new factory.  The work now starts to get it prepared as a workplace for his staff.  The facilities are fantastic and well placed so comfort is assured. One thing is certain, they will have enough light to see their way around the office.

Changing Light

As winter approaches, the morning walk takes on a whole new character.  The Community Centre now dwarfs the old Nunawading Primary School and it puts on quite a show before sunrise.

Lachlan Has The Runs (on the board)

With his success in the school Cross Country, Lachlan was entered in the District Cross Country.  He did not win but he put in a great performance.
