Lockdown life can be a little tedious so Cooper and Lachlan decided to try their hand at skateboarding. A gentle run at the Community Centre was an ideal starting venue and they were both gliding down the slope with ease at the end of the session.

Repelling the Hordes
During lockdown, Adam continues work on the massive defensive wall to repel invaders from the East.
The gabions are rising slowly as layer follows layer. The last phase of the build will include the installation of the cannons.Monday, September 27, 2021
Coffee
Our new home away from home appears to be the local park. We caught up with Brett and Mitchell on Sunday for a coffee from The Peddler Cafe and then a chat in the park. Monty felt excluded but Mitchell shared some crumbs from his muffin to keep her happy.

Getting Out
We had to make use of the brief appearance of some spring weather today so we walked along the Mullum Mullum Reserve. It was worth a look. I'll be back!

Preserving Sanity
As lockdown stretches on, the list of jobs diminishes. Luckily I still have a way to go digitising old film. The theme around today's offerings is evident.

Changes Afoot
As the Covid crisis drags on we are all desperate for a return to normal. Glimpses are occurring. Yesterday, we were able to have a coffee in the park with Brett and Ebony and today we had a distanced picnic with Lisa, Mark and the boys.
Jack, Cooper and Lachlan have all grown a lot since we last saw them.Jack is about to pass me by, Cooper is surging past Granny and Lachlan is about to pass her.

Birthday in Iso
Having a birthday during the Covid pandemic has been no fun for anyone. However I did have a great day yesterday. As carers, Mark and Lisa cleaned the toilets and Adam took out the rubbish. Claire had baked some Rock Cakes and Adam brought along a cake. So the workers did not go hungry.
Best of all I was able to talk and text with the rest of the family who called even though we could not meet in person. It was also good to be able to share some of the spoils of the day around.Spring
We are now moving into the (slightly) warmer spring weather and the morning walks are becoming a little more variable from fog to bright sun.

Father's Day
Special days make Covid isolation a little harder to take. So it was good to receive phone calls from the family today. Lachlan had spent quite some time making two brilliant digital "paintings". I like to draw but his talent is well beyond mine!

Lockdown Activities
It's a miserable day and we are unable to move far as a result of lockdowns. So some of those tasks that have been waiting for "when we have time" are being undertaken. Digitising the old negative film archive was on the agenda today. It is a massive task but progress is being made bit by bit.
Today I have been going through the photos of our holiday at Croajingalong National park. Memorable for its remoteness, cold nights and amazing fishing.
