The morning walk is getting better. There is more activity on the streets as things open up after Covid and the sun is out as we move toward summer.

Family Dinner
Our post Covid family dinner had to be split in two as a result of on going restrictions so last night Lisa and Adam and families came over to complete what, for us, was a wonderful weekend. First order of business was to check height changes over the past couple of months. Granny hasn't hit the bottom yet but that time is not far away!
To ensure we continued traditions, the roast and the red wine remained a constant. A banana caramel tart was added to the apple rolly polly to ensure people were eased slowly into change. We are nearly back to normal!Eildon Dreaming
Lisa and Mark headed north to check on the block in Goughs Bay and do a little maintenance. The countryside is looking spectacular.
Eildon is practically full and the top boat ramp is only just out of the water. With Council approvals nearly all sorted we may see building soon.Sunday, October 24, 2021
Family Dinners Resume - WooHoo!
With the easing of lockdown restrictions, we were able to have family for dinner once again. It has been too long but last night, Brett, Cathy, Ebony and Holly were our first formal dinner guests of the post Covid era. (Mitchell had a prior and had caught up with us yesterday.) Ebony and Holly are starting to make Granny feel small.
It is starting to feel like the real world again!Sunday, October 17, 2021
Parking With Pets
For her morning walk, Monty brought Brett over for a visit. Peddlers Cafe was jumping so it was coffee in the park. A lot of other dogs had their owners there too.
Welcome to Spring
It has been unseasonally cool for the start of spring but the plants are finally acknowledging the change of season. These street trees always give a lift to the morning walk at the start of spring.

Roller Derby
The skateboards were out again yesterday. This time Mark was trying his hand - quite successfully too!
Getting Out
The situation arose yesterday that required a welfare check. Results indicated we would do much better out of the house so we went to Donvale to see developments for ourselves. Things improved rapidly when we arrived as Sophie had made Choc Chip Cookies that went beautifully with coffee.
We were able to see firsthand the magnificent ramparts that are rising dramatically in the East and we headed down to the Barn that we had not seen since completion. What a fantastic space! No wonder it is getting a workout as a social hub. It is super well insulated with heating and cooling, a toilet, and small kitchen to make it a wonderful place to meet up with friends.
