With the garage walls in place, girders are needed to span the space for the house floor. The metal was delivered by a huge truck.
Jack's soccer match was cancelled last week but was back in it's usual time slot on Sunday evening (in the cold). The boys did well for most of the match but were finally beaten 3-2. Jack had his share of the action.
James is back from Bali and back to football. It was the Reserves this week at Albert Park. Unfortunately the boys were outclassed by South Melbourne. However it was a great day for spectators, sunny and cool.
James and Angel together with a group of friends headed to Bali to see the sights. They had a great time seeing the sights and the different environment.

The family gathered on Sunday to celebrate Brett and Mark's birthdays. The weather was kind enough to allow us to be outside for the occasion so it marked a departure from our traditional dinners. Also a great opportunity for family photos!
Patrick has spent some time practicing with his group "Tonic" and on Saturday they had their first commercial gig. Apparently a great success but it was not a place for the Grands!
Cooper had been doing some practice but the team was down a couple of players so his team was in trouble last night. They started well and Cooper threw a couple of long goals but they went down fighting.
James was in the Seconds this week playing Templestowe. The wind was blowing a gale along the ground and turning the ball in mid air so it was a bit of a low scoring scramble. James played a good game and scored one of the few goals in a snap from the boundary.
We had a dinner for Mark's birthday last night at the local Indian restaurant. Great food and service, a real find. These activities have to be fitted in as he spends time sorting out the Lake House construction.
Hawaii offers all sorts of options for a healthy lifestyle. The holiday was voted as one of the best ever for the variety of activities (beach, shopping, recreational) and all within easy reach.
The first eight rows of bricks of the Lake House garage are now filled with concrete so the next eight rows are now being placed ready for the next concrete fill. Mark has been continually hampered by the almost constant rain but there is hope this job can be done on Monday next.
