Kate's Final Birthday Function For ‘24

 It has been a while coming but life happens.  We finally got together for Kate's Birthday Dinner at Sapporos Japanese last night and, again, they did not disappoint. 

Cooper's Grand Final

 Cooper's Celtics reached the Grand Final and were up against the top team.  They had a great first half and really put the wind up the opposition.  Unfortunately they dropped away in the second half.  However overall they had a great season.

Jack's Deb Ball

 Jack has been in practice for a few weeks for his role in the Mullauna Deb Ball.  He was a little nervous going into the event but the night was a roaring success.  The first event of the evening was the boys dance and Jack was front and centre.  This was the one he was concerned about.

Then came the presentation of the couples.

Followed by the presentation dances.

It was a huge, very happy and well organised event.

The grandparents were well represented so we were not too far out of place.

That Morning Light

 I am really enjoying the vibrance of the morning light as the days are getting shorter.

Bushes Beware

 Lisa has been threatening to get a hedge trimmer for some time.  She now has this monster.  No bush will be safe.

Lachlan Under Repair

 Lachlan attempted to dig a hole in concrete with his elbow.  It didn't work.  A visit to the Emergency Department guided the necessary repair work.

Lake House Development

 During the school vacation Mark and Lisa had the opportunity to visit the house and install a Starlink station to enable the installation of security at the site.

There was also the chance to brush up on their paddle boarding skills

The Saga Finalised

 It has been a long haul for Mark and Lisa to be compensated for the damage caused when the builders next door ripped out a tree damaging the fence and cracking their driveway.  The story ends with the new fence in place and the damaged section of driveway relaid.

Finals

 Both Cooper and Jack played in their Basket Ball teams semi finals yesterday.  Cooper had a great game scoring 11 points in a good win so into the final next week.

Jack's game was a much tighter affair with the scores running neck and neck.  Unfortunately the game ended with Jack's team down one point seeing the end of his season.

Autumn Light

 Morning walks are far more interesting now when the sun is low and the light makes interesting shadows and textures.

Cooking Class

 I have been wanting to have a go at baking bread ever since we threw out the bread maker.  So I did some research and got some ingredients (in particular - high protein flour) and had a go.  To my amazement it is surprisingly good!

The 'Rok On The Block

 James is getting the Amarok ready for sale so we took a couple of publicity photos.

Claire's Birthday Finalised

 Brett and Cathy hosted a family dinner to mark Claire's 76th birthday.  As we move on, the family dinner is expanding with 20 people in attendance last night.  We think we are approaching the limits of a formal dinner and future events may move toward a more informal finger food style.  It was a very happy and noisy occasion with a magnificent spread of food.

To feed us all, Brett and Cathy and family must have worked all day.

Setting Up

 Mark's ute now has a new back that will make visits to the Lake House easier. 

He can now lock up his tools and the frig/freezer will mean he can easily carry food.

It also carrys 60 litre of water for showers etc and the rack will allow transport of materials.  Makes him into the proverbial "happy Camper".

Mitchell's Birthday Photo

 Mitchell called around today so we could update his photo in Granny's Gallery.  The tradition continues.

Jack Has a Win

 Jack's basketball team has been doing well and had another win last night after a rather shaky start.
