Heading North For New Year

This year the Inchleys undertook to arrange our New Year celebrations in Kiama, south of Sydney.  so we headed north on the XPT train with the Russells.

The following morning we took the 2.5 hour journey to Kiama on the suburban rail network.
Needless to say, coffee was the first order of business on arrival and Kiama has lots of options!
After sorting our accommodation at The Sebel, we had a wander to look around the beautiful (and enormously popular) coastal town.  Kiama claims its blowhole is the largest in the world.  We did see a couple of large spouts as we went to check out out Restaurant for our NY dinner.

Italy and France

Kate, Adam, Patrick and Sophie had just made it through the Christmas Silly Season when they headed off to Italy and France for a month.  Rome was first with the Colosseum being at the top of the wish list.

They manages to arrange some excellent weather and accommodation in Rome.
Then it was off to Pompeii where they had the luxury of a couple of days to explore the ruins.
