Decking Progressing

After a great deal of ground work (literally!) the deck is now emerging in it's final form.  Adam is like a proud parent.

Basketball Finals - Pat

Patrick had his final game for the season today.
He had had a tough week with wry neck and was not fully recovered.  He played really well in the early stages but the injury was aggravated later in the match.
After a close first half, the team was outgunned in the later half of the match but the boys have had a good season and Pat is signing up for another season to start in a few weeks
Now the big question is how to deal with all the spare time next weekend.

Basket Ball Finals - James

It was the final today and James came ready to play. He had a good game and it was clear how much he had developed and learned during the season.
His determination was evident on many occasions (check the face!)
Unfortunately the opposition proved too strong.
James has had a good season but he is now ready to move on to the challenges of a new season.  He only has to wait a couple of weeks.

Sixteen Degrees - Pool Time!!

If it is over sixteen degrees, of course it is swimming weather!  James promised to show us a number of options for walking on water.  Despite promising starts, none of his approaches seemed to work.
Ebony took the prize for the most sustained swim.
Sophie was sure the water temperature was just right for a swim.

Holly Makes Her Choices

Although it is a few days since her birthday, Holly took Granny to the shops to make her birthday purchases today.  Build a Bear was paid a visit and once the decisions were made, sustenance was required.

Spring Has Sprung

Some warmer weather and beautiful days say that Spring has arrived.  Even the street trees are putting on a show for my morning walk.

Echuca Waits

While in Echuca, I took the opportunity to have a look at the old bridge.  It is a symbol of community frustration.  Too small to cope with the needs of the community and yet no one can agree on how to replace it.  The argument has been raging for years.

Jack's In the Band

During Assembly this morning, Jack (and his band) performed for us.
He was a picture of concentration as the band went through their paces.

50th Anniversary - Leitchville Congregational

The little Congregational Church in Leitchville was celebrating its' 50th anniversary over the weekend.
It was built almost entirely by voluntary labor and was the church where we were married (in 1969).  That's us in the middle!
Claire went back for the celebrations.  Not a lot had changed in the church.
However there was significant change in the people.  Claire met up with Allan Searle who was the vibrant young minister in the church when it was first built.

Marc Makes 50

We had a great weekend in Echuca.  Marc had made his half century so it was time for a celebration.
Dinner at Madison Spa was the order of the day.  No one went home hungry!
