Jack's Ninth.

Having a birthday brings on the responsibility of providing Granny with a photo for her gallery. This is the winner from yesterday's photo session.

Jack's Birthday

The family met up last night to celebrate Jack's ninth birthday and to indulge in a little overeating.  The barbeque was cranked up, salads and sausage rolls provided and we had a great mix of food and no one left hungry.
Then it was up to Jack.  He performed his duties with distinction.

New Wheels

The new camping vehicle has been brought into the fold.  The Monaro has made way for the Amarok and plans are afoot for its transition to a full camping system.  Canopy on tomorrow and other additions are in the pipeline. Can't wait!

Jack's Birthday

Yesterday was Jack's Birthday.  To celebrate, he and his friends were collected after school and fueled up at the golden arches.
Once they had the full carb load installed, they headed to "Bounce" to expend all that energy. And they did.
Sleeping that night should not have been a problem.

Lachlan's Birthday Finalised

Lachlan still had a few dollars of his birthday money to spend so yesterday was the day. Initially he was not sure he wanted anything.  However once he spied the figurines, it turns out they were just what he wanted.  He was happy with them in the store.
He was happy with them on the way home.
And he was happy to tell Granny all about them.

Toolangi State Forest

We decided on an overnight camp in the Toolangi State Forest.  Weather was good, cool and clear and Adam had access to the essential resources (wood) so success was almost guaranteed.
The fire was soon underway.
As night fell, more wood was added to the pyromaniacs delight and we managed to cook dinner without incineration (great work Brett) so we could settle to an evening around the inferno.
The fire kept hot through the night so in the morning it was soon going strong.  The Gourmet Chef was soon on the job.  He does a sensational bacon and egg sandwich.
Aspiring Chefs were also on the job.  There was a little Burnt Bread Special and plenty of Marshmallows.
Great place for a quick overnight camp.

Ebony's Team On A Roll

Ebony's netball team has only just formed and there were a few early games that did not quite come together for the team but they have had some good games lately. Yesterday they won 14 to 7 and Ebony shot a good number of the goals (at least 5).
And another goal to Ebony.
Great game and congratulations on a good win.
