It is with great regret we announce the final demise of an old warrior that has done more than could reasonably be expected of it over the past 10 years. Overloaded and overworked it finally died over the weekend while attempting to do it's duty. It's final act was to bow in submission to the power of the Amarok.

Overnight Camp
We arrived at Toolangi around 4 pm but with winter approaching, the light was fading fast. First things first - the fire was started and the accommodation erected.
We really needed a good fire on such a freezing night. The towering inferno kept us warm and cooked some great snags.
The cold night was followed by an equally cold morning. Apparently the new swags were a great success being warm and comfortable. They even resulted in some sleeping in!
The Master Chef was soon on the job with bacon and eggs for breakfast all round. A hearty breakfast and a good strong coffee is all that one needs in the morning.
The equipment list and processes are already being edited for the next adventure.

Basketball - Pat
Pat had his work cut out on Saturday when the Vikings played Collingwood. He got plenty of attention as one of the danger players on his team.
Much of his time was spent moving the ball back to the Viking's end.
Pat scored 6 of the team's 16 points but it was not enough to overcome Collingwood. They went down fighting and Pat had a good game. Granny was happy with him!

Birthdays Finalised
We found a few hours today for Cooper and Jack to finish off Granny and Pa's birthday presents.
Cooper was clear on the requirements and we had his Lego and a box of chocolates in no time. Shopping is a difficult business so a milk shake helped regain the energy levels
He looked pleased with his final haul.
By the time we had done some shopping with Jack he had already assembled some of his Lego.
Jack also had a clear view of his requirements. We looked around for a while, boosted the energy levels with KFC -
but his heart was set on footy cards.
LOTS of them! Now for the sorting and swaping.

Basketball - Patrick
Patrick and his team had one of those days today. As they are still in the qualifying rounds, they had had a big win last week and been bumped up but this week they came up against some big boys in the Land of the Giants.
Pat spent some his time on court bouncing off this big No 30
I think the boys would have more fun if the teams were more evenly matched. Biting the oppositions ankles is not the way to go.
