Ramp in Action

Lisa and Justin had a new landing installed over the weekend to provide a smoother front entry.  The concrete block has been covered and there is now an easy ramp access as well.  Lachlan is very proud of the new installation.

The Grand Final

The Jets Under 13 played in the Grand Final on Sunday.  James had been sick for a week so was in a bit of trouble on the day however he did manage a little time on the oval.
Unfortunately North Ringwood proved too strong on the day and although the Jets lost, they put on a much stronger performance than on their last meeting.  A win was possible even up to the last quarter.  At the conclusion, the end of a good season was marked with a medal presentation.  It was sad for James he was so ill on the day but he really has had a good season.

Ebony's New Team

It has been a few weeks since we have caught up with Ebony and her school Netball Team.  We managed to coordinate it all today.  They had been regraded after some big defeats but they managed to hold on today for a draw.
It was a good effort from Ebony despite having a bug. She was up against some very tall timber but managed a number of goals at one end and defended well as Keeper.
Cathy was Coach for the day and Granny and Holly were there to see the Coach come away with an unblemished record!

Basketballer In The Making?

Cooper showed off his skills at Basketball training tonight after school. His friend Eden seems impressed.
He is handling the ball well and seems to be one of the few in the group that can shoot goals.  He shot eight tonight.

Ready for School

Lachlan had his first Transition Day at school today.  He even went along in his school uniform.

Relocation Complete

Peter and Jill have now relocated to their new home in their Vermont retirement village.  We visited last night to have dinner with them and see how everything had settled in after the move.  They look very comfortable and being in a village setting, they have access to some great facilities.  The move has taken a while but it is a great result.

Jets Make the Grand Final

The Jets had a good day on Sunday.  The weather was good and the opposition lost interest in scoring after the first quarter.  It may have also been a result of the boys working hard for the full match to get themselves through to the Grand Final.
With a demonstration of more accurate kicking and marking than we have seen in the past couple of weeks, the boys finished with a 106 to 17 scoreline.  It was a happy group heading for the Change Rooms at the end of the game.

Aquaman

Lachlan had his swimming lesson today.  It is a bonus that he is in a class of one so he gets plenty of attention.  He is loving the water spending more time under it than on the surface and preparing to swim overarm.

Bump In the Road

James and the Jets did not have such a good day yesterday.  It was a cold day with strong winds at times but North Ringwood were not on top of the ladder by chance.
James played well and saw plenty of action but the opposition was strong and out played the Jets after the first quarter.  The boys have to win next week to stay in contention and earn the chance for another crack at North Ringwood.
