Marcia's Milestone

Marcia has made it to 40 and the celebration ran most of Saturday with friends and family visiting during the day and finishing early Sunday.  It was a great party but I abandoned ship before close of play.

Taking a Sickie

The bugs never seem to take a holiday, so Granny spent some time with Lachy during his recuperation.

School Production

We attended the APPS School Production "Pirates of the Curry Bean" last night. It was amazing to think we had 5 grandchildren on the stage in the same production on the same night.
As School Captain, Patrick opened the evening with the welcome.

and Jack.

It was a great night and a credit to all involved in such a smoothly presented and entertaining evening.

Pizza and Music

Brett and Cathy hosted a family pizza dinner last night that turned into a musical soiree.  Not sure where this will lead but I have committed to break out the Uke!!

The Master Brewers

Brett's family birthday present was a beer brewing session and yesterday the process started.  Having selected the style, the ingredients were collected ready for the brew.

Under the direction of the staff the ingredients were carefully mixed at precise times and in specific conditions to ensure a consistent product.

There was a little waiting time involved between the various processes but we managed to fill the time with productive activity - tasting other brews.

James Basketball Grand Final

After their amazing season, the result of James Grand Final was never going to be in doubt.  True to form, they won by over 20 points to receive their medals at the presentation that saw the end of this season.

Grand Fathers Day

We had a magnificent feast with Lisa and the boys on Sunday evening. I was also lucky enough to score some presents from the boys. As always we left feeling very privileged to have these kids amongst our fantastic grandchildren.

Family Dinner

We tried something a little different last night with a family dinner in a local restaurant.  The Doncaster Greek Tavern had come highly recommended and they were able to accommodate us all easily for a great meal.  Worth another shot!

Basketball - James

Unfortunately it is getting a little routine.  The Celtics roll up and win by 20 points or more.  Same today. James' team won 58 - 36.  A little regrading next season will make the games more even.  Even though the other team had some good players, the Celtics team work and speed carried the day.

Basketball - Jack

Jack played his final game for the season today to a hard fought loss against a skilled opposition.

He is now looking at a fresh start in a new team next season.
