Patrick and Sophie's Family Party

The family gathered for Patrick and Sophie's birthday celebration yesterday.  As always, the weather was perfect and the day presented the opportunity to update a few photos of family and friends. The stars of the day were difficult to catch but we got them.
Granny has never seen herself as a 'shrinking violet' but days such as this do present a challenge to that view.
The Pinata proved to be a great hit.
It doesn't seem that long since we all gathered for the same function last year.  Happy Birthday Patrick and Sophie.

Loving the Farmer's Market

This time we attacked the Farmers Market a little better prepared.  We had a list but there was still plenty of other produce on offer to tempt us.
The salami, the sourdough and the mince tarts were not on the list!

Ebony on Fire

Ebony's afternoon team put on a dominant display this week against an opposition that looked as though they should have been more of a threat.  Ebony had a great run under the goals, she hardly seemed to miss.

And yet another goal from Ebony.

Jack's Team - Back Together

Jack's team of last season had wanted to continue this season but some administrative hitches caused complications.  All sorted now and they are back to their winning ways with a good game today.

Cooper's New Team

We saw Cooper with his new team for the first time this season.  It is a tight little team although most have not played together previously.  Their very young Coach keeps the team together and enjoying the game. They crushed the opposition today.

Wrecking Continues

Some of the wood was taken from the old house today for recycling.  It is a great pity that more cannot be used.
Internal accommodation is now becoming more problematic.

Cool Snap

The warm dry weather suddenly came to an end a couple of days ago with about 80mm of rain over two days.  This morning, the surroundings were still showing the hail that had fallen last night.

Wrecking Starts

Unit 1 is looking a little the worse for wear after a number of gentlemen with wrecking bars and large hammers visited with the intention of giving the old asbestos sheeting a new home.

Happy Birthday Cathy

The Melbourne Cup weekend is always a pseudo long weekend.  The schools that do run on the Monday usually run a restricted program so Lisa and Mark ran a family barbeque that provided the opportunity for a birthday dinner for Cathy.  A very relaxed evening.

Satisfactory Saturday

The pergola had been standing without love or attention for about 15 years so it was about time for some care.  After cleaning, filling a few holes and painting it has scrubbed up well.  The next step in attending to the patio will be the installation of the watering system for the plants being held for the new build.
