Birthday Lunch(es)

We were late with Mitchell's Birthday lunch but balanced that by being early for Ebony's lunch.  AngAng, our favourite little restaurant at the Ringwood Town Square treated us well yet again and we came away quite replete after some great food and conversation.  Of course no matter how good the meal it had to be finished off with some ice-cream.

Roof Arrives

Work continues on the new house.  This week all the windows arrived and have been stored inside.  The major work has been on the roof with the gutters and the steel roof being installed over padded anti-condensation insulation.
The windows are stacked up ready for installation.
The upper storey is taking shape and looks quite spacious with wider landing area and the higher ceilings.

Louie the Lookout

Louie likes to keep a check on things if his humans are not present.

Sky Stuff

We have been having some beautiful skies over the build recently.  They just force you to drag out the camera.

Claire's Birthday Dinner

Adam and Kate arranged Claire's birthday dinner at their place last night.  As always, it was a wonderful meal but of course the best part was catching up with all the family.  Entertainment for the evening was provided by Louie.
James helped some of the guests work up an appetite before the meal.
Claire received some perfume and some bath sets in colours appropriate to the new house.
It was a fantastic evening and family catch up.

Louie Likes Lazing Around

We are looking forward to catching up with the latest family member this evening.  It appears the only problem we will face is distinguishing him from other toys.
The family assembled at Adam and Kate's place for Claire's birthday dinner but Louie was the star attraction.  He is quite comfortable with his humans and is happy to order them around.

Torvo Takes Time out

Lisa and Mark headed off to the Prom for a couple of days.  Great plan but they were evacuated when bushfires threatened. Torvo did not seem to think we were an appropriate replacement while they were gone.

Morning Light

An unseasonally hot start to autumn has produced some interesting light in the mornings as a result of the smoke from bushfires.
We are watching with interest as the old primary school site is developing into the Community Centre.  The original building facade has been retained and work has started on the structure of the new buildings.  Some large concrete pads are also in place.

Nearly Roof Time!

The new house continues to grow and each day there is progress.  From the street it is starting to look more house like.
This week the frame is approaching completion and the scaffolds are being put in place for the fascias roofing and the guttering.

Magic Morning

Unsettled weather makes for magical morning light and makes the morning walk even better.
