Basketball - Jack

Jack's team was up against Donvale tonight.  The stadium was like a furnace after a very hot day but the boys came out firing.  Jack played a great game, he has improved amazingly in the last week or two.
He  is starting to read the play and get into position.  He is grabbing the ball, running and passing.  I think he was one of the better members of the team tonight.
At the end of it all and with another win notched up, he was reasonably happy with his night's work.

Pole Completed

We have been working for a while to get the Basketball ring installed for Jack to be able to practice.  Having bought the kit, Justin dug a whole so deep that there was serious consideration given to a geothermal power supply.  The final bits were put into place yesterday.
The consequence was that Jack went to bed exhausted.  He is now a happy camper.

Warragul

Traveling toward home on Sunday we drove along what must be one of the most beautiful roads in Victoria.  The Warragul Road from Leongatha in the South up to Warragul winds through some beautiful rolling hills and the most picturesque farmland that can be seen anywhere.  Our objective was the Wild Dog Winery for lunch.
There was a tasting or two, and a walk around the grounds; -
and another lunch in a beautiful setting.  Great weekend.

Wilsons Prom. and Surrounds

While staying at Waratah Bay we took a trip down to "The Prom".  It is a beautiful part of the world.
The only downside of a short visit is that you can only see a tiny fraction of the attractions in the area. It really is a place that we are going to revisit and spend a little time in the area.
We also saw the little villages of Foster and Port Franklin.

Weekend at Waratah Bay

Just back from another wonderful weekend with friends visiting Waratah Bay, Wilsons Promontary and the Fish Creek area of Gippsland.  The Waratah Lodge B&B accommodated us all in a Lodge with commanding views over the Bay.
We started the weekend with lunch in Leongatha and continued through the weekend ensuring that our nutrition levels remained high.

Basketball - Jack

We went to watch Jack and his team play this evening. Jack is showing some promise and his team had a convincing win.
He had a couple of shots for goal and although he missed this penalty it is not going to be long before these shots are going in.
His Fan Club had a short meeting at the end of the game.  Bushy flew down from Sydney to watch!

Raining Again!

It's late November, it has been cool and damp for weeks and there seems little prospect for improvement in the short term.  However the garden is loving it!

Sophie Goes Birthday Shopping

We took Sophie shopping for her birthday.  Easy as falling off a log!  All she wanted was a white iPad Mini and the first place we walked in had them available at the lowest price we had seen.  It all took about 10 minutes.  Following our exertions, we needed an ice cream for sustenance (or should that be iCe cream?)

Basketball - James

James had a good day with his team today against Balwyn.  Although the Vikings were the stronger team on the day, there were a couple of periods where they looked like they may get into trouble.
James  put on a strong performance and goaled.  It was a good game to watch.  Jack came along to pick up a few tips as he is playing Monday nights.

Cooper and Lachlan Visit

The boys came to play today.  It was Cooper's last day at the Transition Program so he had to take time out at school.  The highlight appeared to be playing sport.
Lachlan stayed with us to look after Granny and play trains.
