Justin was a man who loved Australia and its wild places. He loved the mountains and the deserts, the streams and lakes and forests and we had the privilege of being with him in many of these places and seeing the joy it brought to him. It was his final wish that his ashes be scattered at the top of Mount Kosciuszko. So on Saturday 7th January his friends and family gathered for our final farewell to our much loved friend, father, husband, son and family member who will continue to be sorely missed by us all.
We took the chair lift to the start of the 6 KM walk to the peak.
It was evident to us all that his remains could not have been taken to a more perfect location.
Justin was important to many people and 60 or more had come to the top of the mountain to participate in the scattering of the ashes.
Cooper made sure I got down the mountain safely keeping me company the whole way.
The day was a massive tribute to the man we all loved so much.
