It was the night of the "Super, Blue, Blood Moon" and the weather obliged as the shadow of the earth progressed across the face of the full moon. It was freezing outside but the view made it worthwhile. At the point of full eclipse, the moon was lit by sunlight reflected and refracted through the earth's atmosphere effectively lighting the moon with a circular sunset. Of course the Moon then glowed red. An interesting night.
