The Covid crisis has provided one benefit, family history research has moved on apace. Claire has discovered a great deal about the Reid (Grandad) and Thorp (Grandma) family lines. These homes have been in Scotland such as the 1774 home of George Reid in Ayr.
There were a number of houses in Greenock and Glasgow
Houses on the Isle of Wight.
A house in Wimpole St London where a Thorp ancestor was a doctor,
and houses in Melbourne where the family used to live. For example in Prahran,
and Glen Iris. Loving Google Maps!
