Mitchell has been on a mission to find a game with no less than 10,000 playing pieces that might replace "Civilization" in future. He came up with Eclipse. The protagonists assembled on Sunday for the pre-battle feast of smoked ribs and salad provided by Brett's smoker before proceeding to the Battle Control Centre (The Barn).
Alphie was looking forward to his first game.
The Arena was set up for the epic battle and hostilities began.
Alfie had trouble concentrating on the play.
However battles continued.
And victories were celebrated.
