Newtown

All our travel in Sydney was courtesy of their fantastic public transport system and we used it to capacity.  Our first trip was to Newtown, one of the oldest parts of Sydney that is undergoing a renaissance.

We had lunch in a fantastic Turkish restaurant.
We also enjoyed a wander around the streets.  Within the space of about 200m we found a couple of well patronised vinyl record shops and a film and film camera shop that was very busy!
We loved the sign "Purveyors of Dead Peoples Music and Obsolete Technologies" but there were plenty of patrons.  We had come by train so the return journey was made on the bus.
