Another Day Another Castle.

We spent the day at Warwick Castle today.  A very different experience and much more a medieval theme park however it was worth the visit.  Plenty of the original castle was in place and it is an imposing structure.

In the grounds they also ran a birds of prey display with massive eagles.

There was also a demonstration of an enormous working trebuchet which flung a huge burning ball about 300m.  Great demo to watch. This is the machine ready to toss the fireball.  Its size can be seen by comparison to the man ready to pull the firing rope.
