Today we did the Madrid tour and had a look through the Royal Palace. (Old and now only used for state ceremonial occasions.)
Then off to Segovia - some way out of Madrid but with a rich cultural history. The Roman aqueduct that cuts actoss the town celebrated its 2000th birthday a few years ago and it looks as though it could have been made yesterday.
The town also had the old Cathedral in the main square and we toured the Alcazar, the 14th century palace of the kings and queens of Spain.
