James Slogs it Out
James and the Under 13 Jets had a tough game today. They met a determined opposition on a sodden ground. The ball was as heavy as lead, slippery and refused to bounce so there was a lot of scrapping for the ball in packs and not a lot of free flowing play.
James was on the ball a lot and worked hard all over the ground. The Jets started well but North Ringwood clawed their way back into contention and only went down by 3 points. I think our boys were pleased to hear the final siren.

Jack's On Fire
Jack had a great day with the Jets today. It was a rotten day but the ground was in reasonable shape and the heavy rain held off.
He worked hard all game and the Coach used him in a number of positions around the ground. He obviously did what was required as he was given the coveted "Footy Cards" award at the end of the game. Great work Jack.

James Jags Jets Jackpot!
From the outset, it has to be said that James had a GREAT day on the field, despite the fact that it was a rotten day. Spectators were confined to barracks
but the players did not seem to notice the weather. James was picking up kicks around the ground -
and driving the opposition crazy sticking to them like glue -
and kicking goals out of the middle of packs. He kicked 2 goals in the first half.
At half time the Team had kicked over 40 points and Lysterfield had only managed 1 goal just before the siren so the mood was very positive in the rooms at half time.
Because the boys were doing so well, the Coach decided to rest James and a couple of other strong players at the start of the second half but Lysterfield added a couple of quick goals and the game moved to their end. After 12 minutes James was back on the ground and the play suddenly moved back to the Jets end.
James added another goal and a point to his tally.
He left the ground after a fantastic performance and was recognised as "Player of the Week" by the coaching staff. You cannot do better than that!

Patrick Has A Pearler
We watched Patrick playing with his new team in their first game of the season. He had really come to play with new levels of energy and more aggressive play.
He had nearly run himself into the ground by half time and the team was well ahead. When he was taken off for a rest, the opposition started to come back. The coach soon had him back on the court and the boys had a comfortable win.
It was a good game to watch. Great work Pat!

Lachlan Celebrates With Friends
It was the final Act of the Great Lachlan Birthday Saga today - he had a party with his friends at a Play Centre. After some important present opening -
Of course there were the formalities required on such an occasion.
There was also plenty to eat.
In all, a very satisfactory day!
it was time for fun on the equipment -

Cooper's Birthday Party
Cooper's friends came to help him celebrate his birthday on Sunday.
He got quite a haul! The boys play seemed to be based on a recurring theme.
Following the food and the cake, all the boys headed down to "Inflatable World" where there is lots of bouncy stuff!
The boys had a ball. If you want them to expend energy, this is the place to do it.
Lisa took lots of water bottles and they were in constant demand as the boys ran from one attraction to the next. They had a great afternoon!
