Taree

We took the road south to set up camp on the banks of the Manning River in Taree.  We went out to the beach and lighthouse at Crowdy Head.  Again the whale watchers were there with their binoculars.
Although Taree is not the most prepossessing town, the scenery around the town is spectacular, best seen from the Apex Lookout.
The Manning River is a huge waterway that ships used to use to take goods as far up river as Wingham.
It was a clear evening as we went back to the camp by the river
