On the way to the Botanic Gardens we called in to see the (ageing) Telstra Tower. It still functions as a communications tower but the Observation Deck and the Revolving Restaurant are closed and unlikely to reopen.
The Botanic Gardens were well set out with a range of environments represented. Given the relatively dry climate of Canberra, the most impressive is the rainforest gully with a whole range of plants growing well.Water dragons were everywhere. The bee hotel was clearly home for a considerable number of resident native bees.
