Being Easter it was a full moon so our night of bush camping was notable for a couple of reasons. One was the squadrons of mosquitoes and the other was the moonlight. This photo was taken about 9pm entirely by the light of the moon.
Today we headed across the Great Australian Bight through the Nullarbor Plain. It was much as expected except for the trees dotted around. We decided that they were in fact tall shrubs (so that the Nullarbor could remain treeless).
There are a number of places where you can view the cliffs of the Nullarbor dropping into the ocean and it is a spectacular view.
Being shipwrecked off this coastline would certainly end in tears.
This evening we spent in Border Village cooking up our fruit and veg before the crossing into Western Australia. Otherwise it would all go in the quarantine inspection. The regulations related to quarantine absolutely defy all sense and logic. But, as we all know, bureaucracy has its own momentum that completely overcomes reason.
