We checked out Geraldton today. Again it was a surprisingly neat and bustling town. We visited the Cathedral and tried to answer some of the boys questions about the function of the building (largely unsuccessfully).
We also saw their lighthouse that has been operating continuously since the 1870s when it was brought out from England. As far as the boys were concerned, the best part of the town were the play areas.
We camped the night at Coronation Bay a little north of Geraldton. It was a beach camp with no water and pit toilets etc so not for the faint hearted. However there were compensations such as sitting on the beach in the evening and sunsets over the ocean.
